Sustainability Working Group Founded

2017
Establishing our foundational commitment to environmental responsibility. Spearheaded by the Axel Johnson Sustainability Initiative, this marked our first formal step toward integrating stewardship into our corporate identity.

2019
We broadened our scope to increase employee involvement and engagement. By moving from a working group to a dedicated team, we began embedding sustainability into our organizational culture.

Formalized Emissions and KPI Tracking

2021
We launched our first comprehensive program for tracking global energy and governance data. This move toward a data-driven approach provided the reliable baseline necessary for measurable environmental impact.

Carbon Neutral
Certification

2022
A major milestone in balancing our operational footprint. Through carbon management and purchased offsets, we achieved a neutral status that we have proudly maintained and verified through the present day.

CDP and EcoVadis
Disclosures

2023
Transitioning to transparent, third-party validated reporting. By participating in CDP and EcoVadis, we opened our practices to external scrutiny to build trust and reliability with our global customers.

SBTi Validation
(Science Based Targets)

2026
Formal validation of our near-term targets by the SBTi marks a new chapter. We completed the complex process of inventorying all emissions to commit to targets that will align our long-term carbon reduction trajectory with the latest climate science. We are now rolling out our refreshed ESG Mission and Pillars, We are now moving beyond doing less harm" to orchestrating a future where high-performance science and stewardship are inseparable.
